【速報】レバノンからロケット弾、イスラエルは砲撃で報復

＜The rockets, presumably launched in support of Hamas, could presage the opening of a second front. The Israeli Army, in a brief statement, said it “responded with fire against the source of the rockets,” which landed near the town of Nahariya. Two Israelis were slightly wounded, the police said.

Lebanese security sources told Reuters that they believed it was unlikely that the rockets were fired under instructions from the militant group Hezbollah. But there was no confirmation or denial from Hezbollah itself.（以下略）

＜Israeli Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the rockets landed around the town of Nahariya, 8 km (5 miles) south of the Lebanese border. Tel Aviv claims the rockets were launched from southern Lebanon.

Lebanon's Hezbollah, however, says it is not responsible for the alleged firing of rockets at Israel.

An army spokesperson said that following the attack the Israeli military launched missiles onto Lebanon in what it described as 'retaliatory' fire. （以下略）


　中東TODAYNO・１１７４「イスラエルは両面作戦、三面作戦を覚悟か」で佐々木良昭氏が「いまイスラエルはガザのパレスチナ人、西岸のパレスチナ人、レバノンのヘズブラという三方向からの敵との戦いを、覚悟したということではないのか」と指摘していることを私は既報した。イスラエル軍地上侵攻が奥深く進む程パレスチナ人の怒り、アラブの怒りをかき立て、戦線拡大する可能性が高くなる。もち論、そんなことはイスラエル側で計算済みだろう。とすれば、地上侵攻はイスラエルの挑発行為の可能性が高くなろう。

　イラン対イスラエル戦へと飛び火を防止するため、イランがヒズボラに対イスラエル戦へ参戦しないよう押念したとの情報があり、ヒズボラ参戦とは俄に断じ難いところだが、可能性がない訳でない。ヒズボラ参戦が明確になったら、背後を叩くとしてイスラエルが対イラン戦に踏み切る公算は小さくない。元々イラン攻撃したくて堪らなかったのを米国が抑えた経緯があるからだ。その意味では戦線拡大、対イラン開戦用の工作活動の可能性だってない訳じゃない。

　イスラエル発表の通りロケット弾発射がレバノン南部からだと確定し、仮にレバノン側の誰かが（これは幾らでもでっち上げられそうだが）やったのなら、次の一手をどうするのだろう。観測気球、或は穏健アラブ向け檄状だろうか。

　単発事件に終われば好いのだが。。。
